Custom business web applications for small companies
Valérian Zoltowski, software engineer, France.
What I do
I design and build web applications for small companies whose process has outgrown a shared spreadsheet. One person, from the data model to production: you talk to the developer, not to an account manager.
Every engagement runs on a written scope and a fixed price. No hourly billing, and no change to the scope without a written quote first.
Custom business application
Replacing the shared spreadsheet with a tool your team actually uses. Roles, exports, history.

Proof
CasaCroqueta, a personal project that grew into a complete product, running in production. I designed it, built it, deployed it and I operate it.
Layered architecture with strict boundaries, Stripe subscriptions with replayable webhooks, PostgreSQL and Redis, four levels of tests including black box integration against a real database, Docker and Traefik with automatic TLS and nightly encrypted backups.
It is not a commercial success and I do not present it as one. It is a complete application that I keep running, and the most honest thing I can show about how I work.

“Valérian was fully committed and knowledgeable to create our ideas into reality. Communicated well and show me progress along the way which help a lot. He works hard and fast.”
“He was great to work with. He was willing to go the extra mile when I forgot to mention stuff in the first message when the order was placed. The plugin I ordered works exactly as I imagined it would and any time we ran into any problems he was quick to resolve them.”
How I work
- Asynchronous, with scheduled calls rather than daily meetings.
- A written scope agreed before any code is written.
- A fixed price and a delivery date, never an hourly rate.
- A written reply within one working day.
- One project at a time, so dates mean something.
